Most students in the Divinity School of Chung Chi College are supported financially by their own denominations. As for those students who are enrolled in the Chinese University of Hong Kong Degree Programmes, they can seek government loans. (Refer to the Student Financial Office of the HKSAR Government for further information.) MPhil and PhD students can apply for research or teaching assistant positions.
There are also prizes, awards, and grants which are donated to the School by the Church of Christ in China Hong Kong Council, Tsung Tsin Mission Kau Yan Church, the Chinese United Church in Washington, D. C., St. Thomas Church of Sheng Kung Hui, Calvary Church, alumni, and Christians who support the theological education ministry of the School.
Donations benefit students with financial difficulties and also encourage them to excel in the areas of pastoral care, ministry, service, ecumenical cooperation, community life, extracurricular activities, thesis writing, scholarship and spirituality. Special aid is given to students who take summer Field Education in North America; and a scholarship is also awarded to one female student who plans to enter pastoral ministry.

For a student who has expressed intention of entering the Christian ministry upon completion of studies. This award is based of financial need, academic performance and contribution to the community life in the Divinity School of Chung Chi College and the Chung Chi College.
For students who are godly and caring, and who have good performance in church ministry and preaching ministry.

For a student who has not received financial support from churches, is in need and has contributed to campus life.
For an outstanding Chung Chi College student in the Divinity School of Chung Chi College who has an expressed intention to enter the Christian ministry upon completion of studies. The award is based on financial need, academic merit and contribution to the community life in the Divinity School of Chung Chi College and the College.
For a theology student in financial need, with good academic results, and GPA not below 2.7. The recipient must enter full-time parish ministry for not less than two years after graduation.
The Board of Trustees established these scholarships in 1995/96. These are full tuition scholarships for an academic year and may be renewed for another year. They are to be awarded to academically outstanding students, who demonstrate proven leadership, potential for further development, and who are not in their first year of studies.
For a student in need of financial support with GPA 2.5 or above.

- For mainland students studying in MDiv or BD programme, who have outstanding academic results, actively engaged in community life at Divinity School and are committed to serve as full-time ministers in mainland churches after graduation; OR
- For mainland students studying in MTheol or DTheol programme, who have outstanding academic results, actively engaged in community life at Divinity School and are committed to serving in mainland seminaries after graduation to train ministers.
For the Mainland China students who must study in BD, MDiv, MMin, MTheol or DTheol programme. The applicants must submit the recommendation letter from their church or seminary, and gurantee the students shall be served in this organization of Mainland China upon graduation.
