- The Professional Doctorate in Practical Theology is a practice-based research degree particularly designed to be taken on a part-time basis.
- Candidates will use their ministerial practice as the foundation of a structured process of research and will spend at least one, possibly two weeks in the UK each year, including attendance at the national Professional Doctorate Summer School in July, and research training at ARU and CTF, at Cambridge.
- Some candidates could spend up to three months in Cambridge in their first year to attend seminars.
- Local supervisors will be provided in Hong Kong by the Divinity School of Chung Chi College in the CUHK.
Entry Requirement
Candidates need to hold a Bachelor's degree and a Master's degree in theology (MDiv or BD) or related subject, plus appropriate professional accreditation or experience.
English proficiency: IELTS 6.5 (or equivalent) and a minimum of English Language Competence of at least IELTS 5.5 across all 4 disciplines: writing, reading, speaking and listening.
